PITTSBURGH (KDKA) â" The Penguins held one final practice in Pittsburgh before leaving for New York.
They face the Rangers at Madison Square Garden Thursday.
Defenseman Kris Letang practiced for the second straight day and heâs hoping to play.
âI know Iâm ready to go,â he said. âIâve been resting. Iâve been doing some treatment with different guys and Iâm 100 percent confident. Otherwise, I wouldnât be on the ice.â
Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma said thereâs a chance Letang could play.
âHeâs been feeling good. Heâs progressed to some difficult skating on his own to get conditioning I think which heâs been able to do and getting back with the team and really only had the two practices â" heâll be with us on the ice tomorrow morning again,â Bylsma said. âDefinitely hopeful that heâll be in games in the remaining games we have left.â
