It's safe to say that ESPN probably didn't have this in mind when it scheduled Pitt's game against Louisville for GameDay at the Pete on January 21.
Pitt is mired deep in a losing streak and heading into this weekend, has yet to win a Big East game. The Cardinals had been faring much better, but have now lost four of their past five games. With a loss to Providence this week, the Cardinals may even fall out of the Top 25 rankings next week.
Nevertheless, GameDay is still coming to Oakland and here are some details. Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. and ESPNU will begin its telecast at 10:00 AM ESPN will then take over the broadcast at 11:00 a.m. State Farm is sponsoring a half-court shot contest at 11:50 AM and then at 2:00 PM, Pitt's women's team will take on West Virginia. A pair of tickets to the Louisville game and some other prizes will also be given away.
Pitt and Louisville will tip off at 9:00 PM later that night.
